START A REVOLUTION. STOP HATING YOUR BODY.

For years and years I’ve struggled with low self esteem/confidence, and it’s mainly focused around my appearance and my weight, but as I get older, I’m starting to realise that there’s more to life than the way we look. It’s not all about being a silly size 0, or having perfectly straight, ridiculously white teeth, or fitting in designer clothes, it’s about being confident within your own skinWho cares what anyone else thinks? Life’s too short to worry about everyone else’s opinion of your appearance, it’s what’s on the inside that matters.
People need to look past the exterior and start realising that the interior of a person is where the true beauty is. Obviously humans are attracted to the aesthetics of other humans, but it’s at such a degree now where no-one feels comfortable with themselves  aside from maybe a small minority , and that’s such a reflection on society.
It comes as no shock that the society we live in is a rather cruel one, but if you don’t conform to the ideology of the ‘perfect’ human in regards to your appearance, it seems to serve crueler to you. How is this right? How can this be justified? People shouldn’t be discriminated against because of their weight, or hair and eye colour, or how long their arms are or how short their fingers are. People shouldn’t be discriminated against full stop. We shouldn’t have to care about having wafer thin, mile long legs, or a tiny waist and giant hips – and for men, giant bulging arms and six packs. So what if you’re covered in tattoos and piercings? So what if you have bright coloured hair and stretched ears? People that only care about you for your appearance clearly don’t have any nice personal qualities, so they really aren’t worth the worry. So what if they think that your nose is too big or your face is too freckly? They’re clearly too obnoxious to look towards your personality.
NEVER CHANGE WHO YOU ARE BECAUSE SOMEBODY ELSE HAS A PROBLEM WITH IT
I’ve realised that comparing myself to others is not a healthy attitude to have, and it was making me unhealthy and obsessed about my appearance.  I’m going to accept myself for who I am, I’m going to love myself and my appearance, from the gap in my teeth right down to the size of my feet, and I’m not going to give a damn about what anyone thinks of me.
I’ve wasted what are supposed to be the best years of my life worrying about what other people think of me, but you know what? Not this year. This year, I’m going to live. I’m going to feel, and most importantly, I’m going to be me. No-one else, just me.

PEACH/PINK HAIR – BLEACH LONDON DYE TUTORIAL AND REVIEW

I decided to take the plunge into the world of pastel hair today, and being such a big fan of BLEACH London products, I decided to use their range of dyes. I’m no stranger to colourful hair, nor to BLEACH dyes, so this wasn’t too much of a task.
I’d already bleached my hair 4 days prior to this using BLEACH London Total Bleach, which lifted my hair to a yellowy/orange colour. Just after bleaching my hair I decided to mix BLEACH London’s Rose and Awkward Peach dyes, and got a very very subtle hue of peach in my hair.
This is the colour that I then applied the dye on to get a pastel pink/peach.

To achieve my colour, I used Tresemme Luxurious Moisture Conditioner (the first white conditioner in a big bottle that I picked up) £2.49 from Boots and filled a small bowl with it. – I WILL SAY NOW THAT THIS CONDITIONER HAS MADE MY HAIR FEEL SO GOOD!!!

These are the BLEACH London dyes I used:

I used 2 parts of The Big Pink and Bruised Violet with 1 part Awkward Peach and mixed them together with the conditioner just to make the colour come out more pastel than vibrant.

Before applying, I washed my hair with OGX Argan Oil & Shea Butter Shampoo (because the condition of my hair isn’t great) – £6.99 from Boots, and left it in my damp hair for 5 minutes.
I washed it out with warm water and used BLEACH London’s Reincarnation hair mask as a conditioner, which I left on for 5 minutes (as opposed to the suggested 10-20 minutes) then rinsed it off. (Boots, £6)

Before drying my hair, I applied Dove Heat Protection Spray (Boots, £4.59)

Use this after dying your hair after towel drying: BLEACH London Split Fix Serum (Boots, £6.00) – THIS IS ALSO AMAZING, MY HAIR IS IN SUCH GOOD CONDITION THANKS TO THIS AND THE REINCARNATION MASK!!!

Mark Hill Love Big Hair! Va Va Voom Volumising Blow Dry Mousse (Boots, £5.99) – AGAIN THIS IS SUCH A GOOD PRODUCT, IT’S MADE MY LIFELESS HAIR GAIN VOLUME AGAIN

This was the final outcome:

I am absolutely thrilled with this colour, it’s something that I’ve been trying to achieve for a long time now, so once again BLEACH London has pleased me and exceeded all expectations. The colour is more hued that vibrant, but is still so pigmented; I’m absolutely in love with it! The condition of my hair felt great as well, which is something I pay high attention to due to the amount of times I’ve bleached my hair.
I’d definitely recommend BLEACH London The Big Pink, Awkward Peach and Bruised Violet if you’re trying to achieve a pastel pink/peach on bleached hair that isn’t white. I’d also highly recommend the BLEACH Split Fix Serum and Reincarnation Mask, they are absolutely amazing! I use the mask as a normal conditioner as well as a twice a month hair mask. As for the heat protector, it’s good but they all do the same thing really, the only thing different that I’ve noticed is that it’s given my hair more of an oomf. Just remember to always apply care products such as serums and heat protectors if you have chemically treated hair (i.e bleached/permed) and style your hair a lot:)

GET READY WITH ME – GRUNGE INSPIRED LOOK || NUDE EYESHADOW AND WINGED EYELINER TUTORIAL ||

Before I applied any makeup, I washed my face using Clinique Anti-Blemish soap, then used the toner and moisturiser that goes with it.
I applied concealer in my problem areas – in particular my eyelids and under my eyes because I have really dark circles. I blended it in using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush.

I then applied Clinique Anti Blemish Foundation on my cheeks (this is where I suffer with acne the most) and then I used a Mac Studio Fix Foundation on the rest of my skin, and blended them in with the Buffing Brush.
I filled my eyebrows in using The Collection’s Eyebrow Kit, and used the first two shades.
For contouring, I used MUA’s Bronzer (the lightest shade) and used the Real Techniques Contour Brush. Using the same brush, I used Mac’s Fleur Power Blush and lightly dusted my cheeks with it (I don’t wear a lot of blush because I’m so pale, it doesn’t look right)

For my eyeshadow, I used the Sleek iDivine Au Naturel Pallette. I used Nougat as my base colour and took it all the way up to my Brow Bone. In the creases of my sockets, I used Nubuck and Bark. On my life, I used Taupe.

The eyeliner that I use is the Revlon ColourStay Skinny Liquid Liner in Black. This is how I apply it:

On my eyelashes, I applied Mac’s Prime and Prep, and then used Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara. Under my eyes, I used Blue from the Revolution Palette in Flawless.

To style my hair, I used Viva La Volume hair mousse and Dove Heat Protector Spray (both can be seen in my January Beauty Favourites Video) and then plaited the front sections of my fringe to the side and clipped them with butterfly clips.

My outfit consists of a black Long Sleeved Top (Primark – £3.99) and then a black Skater Skirt (Topshop – £14). My shoes are from Asos (Music Man – £22). My choker with the sun on is from eBay (99p) and my tattoo choker was from eBay (£5)
